Tropical Landscaping & Irrigation

With 10yrs of experience in the landscaping & irrigation industry, we will completely transform your existing property into a world of lush tropical greenery & palm trees. We specialize in tropical styles, the main reasons being a ZERO maintenance garden, and an evergreen look throughout the year. No regular loss of leaves in winter with the associated mess to clean up and no leaves in your pool to block up the pool filter. Just an occasional check up to see if yellowing older leaves need to be snipped off. Interspersed with ferns, groundcovers and grasses, large leafed philodendrons provide bold statements to select areas of your garden. As do broad leafed palms like the Washingtonia, well balanced with thin leafed Cocos plumosa planted a short distance away.

The soft tropical feel of large tree ferns, complimented with Philodendron xanadu is a firm favorite & must-have for this environment.

Creating that balance, which must be anticipated by the number of years a garden takes to grow to maturity, is where true landscaping skill comes to the fore. Small, new plants, planted too close together may look pleasing in the short term, but would result in a tangled mess a few years later.

Having said that, instant & established gardens are possible, where mature, large plants are positioned according to your requirements. Where required, Dela Casa will source & lay “roll-on” lawn, either Kikuyu(most commonly used) or Buffalo(more costly, but it can be grown in shady areas). All preparation of the area to be grassed is done thoroughly, with the addition of mushroom compost & appropriate ferilizers being mixed into the substrate prior to positioning the grass sods.

Irrigation systems and piping are properly prepared, sealed & tactfully hidden in the planter-beds and lawns before the plants are positioned, ensuring minimal disruption to the new roots. The electronic irrigation systems supplied & fitted by Dela Casa can ensure a hassle-free, wet tropical garden without you ever thinking about watering anything.

Alternatively, manually operated systems are also available should you prefer a more “hands-on” approach to tending your new garden.
