Our lapas, expertly constructed by a very experienced and specialized team are built to client’s specifications. Materials used are, treated SA Pine poles, galvanised steel threaded rod and high quality SA thatching grass.

First, holes are dug for the support poles, which are concreted into place & allowed to cure for 2 – 3 days. Thereafter things proceed at a fast pace, starting with temporary support poles for the construction of the apex. These supports are then removed later when the entire structure is bolted into place and becomes rigid. Thatching is an art, and when done correctly will leave you with an impressive masterpiece indeed. Fire retardent blankets can be included, invisible inside the thatch to reduce the potential damage that can occur in case of a fire.

Manually operated anti-fire sprinkler systems can also be installed at your request.
